Installing the administrator software

It is possible to install the "Global Settings" administrator program on Linux OS (see installation description for the Windows equivalent)
The main task of the program is to change the settings of client machines, server settings, and set rights for additional administrators/managers.

It is assumed that SQL server is already installed and the database was created in the previous steps.

Limitations in the current version:
- No support for Active Directory (including remote installation of clients on Windows);
- No support for file fingerprints;
- Test buttons (connection test, neural network server test, etc.) are unavailable.
(These limitations will be refined and removed in future releases).

Installation is only possible on an OS with a graphical shell (Desktop), however the downloaded package can be installed in two ways:

1) by calling the standard package installer by right-clicking on the package file;

2) via the command line in the terminal.

Example of installation via terminal (Ubuntu Desktop):

wget https://<download_server_and_url>/stkh-admin_xx.yy_amd64.deb
sudo apt update
sudo apt upgrade
sudo apt install -y ./stkh-admin_xx.yy_amd64.deb

(After any installation method, the shortcut "Global Settings" will appear in the standard program menu "Applications")
